CAMCO Services of NY, Inc. and its real estate affiliate Calco Development are owned and operated by Charles A. Lefkowitz.  Mr. Lefkowitz spent many years working in New York City for legendary Real Estate magnet Harry B. Helmsley.  During the late 1980’s, with the growth of the Nassau and Suffolk County markets, Mr. Lefkowitz began to expand out from the Burroughs to more suburban properties on Long Island.

When the commercial and residential real estate market went through a downturn in the late 1980’s – 1990’s, Mr. Lefkowtiz was awarded contracts to manage various types of properties. In the early part of 1990 CAMCO was formed to take advantage of the then current real estate crisis. CAMCO immediately set about managing HOA/Condo/Co-op properties for banks and later for the association’s themselves. Today CAMCO manages approximately 4500 residential HOA/Condo/Co-op units and has expanded its portfolio to also include other commercial properties, including receiverships and bank workouts.
